Visa on Arrival
Most visitors to Jordan can obtain a single-entry visa on arrival at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) or other ports of entry. The cost is 40 JOD (approximately $56 USD) and is valid for 30 days.
The Jordan Pass

Visa-Exempt Countries
Citizens of certain countries (primarily in the Gulf region) do not need a visa to enter Jordan. Check with the Jordanian embassy in your country for the latest information.
Entry Requirements
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from date of entry
- Proof of onward travel (return ticket)
- Sufficient funds for your stay
- Accommodation booking confirmation (may be requested)
Extending Your Stay
Visa extensions can be obtained at any police station in Jordan before your initial visa expires. The fee is approximately 1.5 JOD per day extended, and you can typically extend for up to 6 months total.
Important Notes
- If you enter Jordan via the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge from Israel/Palestine, you cannot get a visa on arrival. You must obtain a visa in advance.
- Overstaying your visa can result in fines. Always exit or extend before expiration.
- Keep your entry stamp intact - you will need it to exit the country.
